Our mission is to find 10 graphic artists on Fiverr, give them all the same criteria, and see what happens.
Here’s our job spec:
The logo will be for AngelCatEarrings.com, which is a site devoted to earrings depicting cats as angels. No slogan.
The angel kitty meme is popular among women who have lost their beloved pet, so women are the target audience. If the deceased cat’s name was Fluffy, the owner will refer to the cat as Angel Fluffy. It’s a way of keeping the memory alive.
So we need a logo that is playful and a bit whimsical and incorporates the Angel Cat theme. Please use the words “Angel Cat” (leaving off the Earrings and dot com.). Reds, blues, purples are fine.

Do you see the problem here? White may be very angelic, but white text and graphics are going to vanish into a white background. Granted, that makes a certain sort of sense — we are talking about ghost kitties after all — but it isn’t very practical. In the future we will tell designers the background is white.
The search continues for more Fiverr logo artists. Plus there are a few who haven’t turned in their work yet.
